I actually got these speakers elsewhere but I installed them myself in my car within 2 hours. It took me that long because I wasn't sure exactly where everything was, but once i did it probably took 15 minutes to install. The tone of these speakers are amazingly good. Good bass for any kind of music. Amazingly good highs and mids too.
<br />I run my speakers right off my alpine head unit and don't feel underpowered without an amp. I recommend these to anyone especially if you're looking for an inexpensive means of good tone.

I tried to research these components before I purchased them, but there was not much info. on them, which is a mystery to me. These are truely audiophile quality components. I think what steers people away from them is thier RMS rating (70-140), but let me tell you, I have these hooked up to a 175x4 Crunch Amp. (The PZI-175) and that only made them sound cleaner and smoother! What many people don't understand is; Distortion and underpowering speakers is far more detrimental to speakers than slightly overpowering them. As long as you have the proper gain and frequency range dialed into your Amp., more power can be a sweet thing! On this same Amps. rear channel I have MA Audio HK6x9s another excellent set of speakers to be had at a low price! The Pheonix Gold 6.5s sound just as good and better than some much more expensive components I auditioned... Like Kicker,Fosgate, and Infiniti. At only $65.00, These P.G.s Trump 6.5 Comp. costing twice and maybe 3 times as much $$. They look almost identical to Polk DBs. Hmmmm? The music detail from these P.G. Octane-Rs is sooo crisp and the mids and lows so smooth and forceful you'd swear I'd payed hundreds more! Removing them from the box I was very impressed by thier build quality and beafiness. At first glance, the in-line crossover disappointed me... looks like a cheap bass blocker! But after the install in my 02' Solara, The superior sound astounded me. I can only imagine how good Pheonix Gold's Top of the line Titaniums sound! Don't pass these up, highly recommended!

At $69 a pair, these are a good speaker deal, but I paid $47 and they arrived within the week. They pump a lot of sound with few watts input. The tweeter is a bit sharp, but I understand they require a few days of service to mellow out. Regardless, these represent a tremendous improvement over the stock speakers. NOTE: They do not come with a speaker harness. You will have to cut the factory wires and solder to install them. Or you can order a speaker harness for your particular vehicle to make your life easier.

I needed to replace the factory door speakers in my 2000 Ford Ranger. I first found these on the Crutchfield website. They wanted $69.99 for them, as did all the retail stores around. I'm glad I checked out Amazon! I got these new for $36.97, minus the shipping, from the seller "suchadealcom". They arrived quickly (in 4 business days for me) and I installed them a couple of days later. They fit the factory holes perfectly, and the sound is outstanding. (Don't be turned off if they don't sound great on the day you install them, it can a few days break them in.) They offer incredible sound without having to spend too much. I've heard a lot of more expensive speakers that don't sound anywhere near as good as these do.

I installed these speakers into the stock rear brackets in the rear doors of my 2001 Tacoma Prerunner Doublecab. These 6x8 speakers fit properly without having to drill new holes into the brackets or the door. The speakers sound a lot better than I would have expected form $40 speakers to (bought from Dealercost) with plenty of clarity and midrange being bright and clear, the bass it can handle is quite good for a 6x8 and I am very very satisfied.

Alphasonik amplifiers are fantastic. It was a huge brand in the USA in the 80s, and remains big to this day in Europe. Why pay for one of the "fad" brands when this amplifier is every bit as good? I ran one for two years in my FJ Cruiser and people were blown away with the sound quality.

I replaced all four of the original factory speakers in a '95 Nissan Pathfinder with the Kenwood KFC5782ie speakers. The rear ceiling locations required a little metal trimming to fit the new speakers in, but the front door locations accepted the speakers perfectly with the enclosed screws and spacers. The improvement in sound quality was breathtaking! I recommend these speakers to anyone who wants to upgrade their original 5 X 7 inch speakers.
